The Third Party Campaign
This site is dedicated to educating the public about their other options in elections. People have stopped voting because they can't seem to find a candidate worth backing but that's just because they don't know what's out their. Democrats and Republicans aren't the only two parties. There are many third parties such as the Libertarian Party, Natural Law Party, Constitution Party, Green Party, Reform Party, and many more. We are not here to endorse one party in particular, we just want people to know that they have options. Also, if you think that voting for a third party is a throwaway vote, you're wrong. Third parties will start winning more and more if people start voting for them. |
What Are Third Parties?
"Third party" is the name given to parties who are not of the main two political parties in our country. The main two are the Republicans and Democrats. Many people have become used to choosing between the two established political parties. This has led to much apathy towards voting. Third parties are out there to give you another option. About 7% of voters choose third parties and that number is growing as each election comes and goes. Some of the third parties include the Libertarian Party, Natural Law Party, Green Party, Reform Party, Constitution Party and others. Why Vote If They Aren't Going To Win?
Some people may ask why they should vote for a third party if they have no chance of winning. Our response is that the more people who change that attitude the better the chance of winning. Even now, third parties control a group of voters that are very valuable to the main parties. Third parties may not win current elections but the more people who are members, the more influence the parties have. In addition, many third parties have very interesting views and if you agree with them then vote to support them. Every vote counts so never underestimate the power of YOU.
